Requirements

OnSign TV is a lightweight software designed to run smoothly on Linux platforms. The ideal hardware configuration will depend on the type of content you intend to display, but the following specifications are our recommended setup.

  •   x86 based CPU (for Raspberry Pi look here)

  • 4 Gb RAM or more

  • Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, 22.04 or 24.04

The video card plays a fundamental role in the stability and performance of the player. To increase performance and reliability, we recommend using the video drivers provided by the manufacturer of the graphics card powering  your player, rather than just using the generic drivers bundled with Ubuntu.
